SHIP CANAL WATER QUALITY PROJECT
Vaughn serves as Lead Artist for the Ship Canal Water Quality Project, a massive infrastructure project to improve the health of local waterways.

Vaughn worked with Seattle Public Utilities Drainage and Wastewater and the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture in a process of in-depth research and community engagement to create the SPU Art Master Plan.
Vaughn’s role has included:
- Developing the art plan and connecting the overall vision for the art program to each project
- Coordinating art integration with construction at multiple sites while working with many different artists, Office of Arts and Culture project managers, SPU staff, and project designers
- Supporting integration of artworks by Preston Singletary and David Franklin, RYAN! Feddersen, and Jeffery Veregge
- Initiating and facilitating the creation of Saltwater Soundwalk: a site-specific audio experience, created by artists Jenny Asarnow and Rachel Lam (Anigiduwagi enrolled Cherokee Nation), about our relationships and responsibilities towards the Salish Sea and connecting waters, centering Indigenous Coast Salish voices and language
- Managing projects for FLOW: Art Along the Ship Canal- a series of temporary artworks
- Providing support and vision for documentation of artworks
