Water Cups for Pollinators: Wild Clay Workshop
People were invited to hold, mold, transform, and play with wild clay. Together we were inspired by the forms of leaves and petals that hold tiny bowls of water necessary for pollinators’ survival.  Echoing those forms, we made our own pollinator water cups, which were fired and placed in the garden as gifts for our pollinator friends. Participants learned about the role of water cycles, rain gardens, and pollinator habitat. Wild clay  was dug from 21 Acres farm as part of preparing the soil for planting. The event took place alongside Atmospheric River Garden, a sculptural intervention and collaboration with the 21 Acres land and surrounding community.
