ART-SCIENCE COLLABORATIONS
Scientific stories relating to the other-than-human world are often the starting points of my work. A practice of collaboration with scientists is a process in which new images, objects and experiences can emerge. I often partner with scientists and organizations with an ecological focus. Examples include Mossuments, in which I worked with bryologists to select mosses that grow in the substrate and location. My work with rivers, drainage and rain gardens has included collaborations with hydrologists and fisheries biologists among others. The projects Plantscapes and Village Greens are developed with botanists and horticulturalists.
